Robert Cooper
Originally from south Texas, Robert permanently relocated to Coffeyville in 2013. He served in the US army from 1972 to 1975. Immediately after leaving the service he began his career in industrial construction. Starting as a boilermaker helper in Corpus Christi, Robert spent 42 years in the industry spending most of that time in supervision and management. After retiring in 2016, he felt his experience with large projects and personnel management could be put to good use doing what he always wanted to do and now had the time, serve. Robert serves as one of the kitchen workers at his local church during their summer Bible School. He is the lead cook for a youth camp in Colorado where he and his team serve 125 hungry teenagers three full meals a day for a week-long camping trip. He also works with the Handy-man ministry at his church. In 2023 Robert, along with his daughter Emily, started Friend and Kin Properties, Inc. Their purpose is simply to restore old buildings for use by other community minded non-profits.
